Analytical Engineer (Part Time, Temporary)

We are seeking a part-time, temporary Analytical Engineer to join the 15Five team.
- US based (Eastern Time Zone preferred)
- 25-29 hours/week for three months

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Expert SQL skills with experience in Python
  • Experience with the modern data stack
  • Data Warehousing - Redshift preferred; Ability to administrate within the warehouse environment
  • BI Tooling - Tableau preferred, developing data models and deploying
  • dbt - Minimum 3+ years experience in architecting and building data models within the dbt framework
  • ETL/Reverse ETL - experience maintaining Cloud based ETL tools like Fivetran. Experience with cloud based reverse-ETL tools a plus
  • Experience Troubleshooting and debugging data system errors, has built data tests across a data warehouse
  • Proficiency in GIT
  • Ability to write clear, concise documentation, and to communicate generally with a high degree of precision

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Optimizing and aligning existing models in DBT
  • Building new datasets and models to be a ‘source of truth’ across our data platform. ie: renewals historic and future views, ARR/GRR/NRR, customer activation and early stage reporting, and feature usage source of truth
  • Removing model redundancies in dbt, tableau
  • Assist with our move to Tableau Cloud and building central data
  • Working with our data engineering team to reduce duplicate work across production and analytical data warehouses
  • Building robust logical tests across our dbt infrastructure
  • Build out our product analytics tooling and upgrade our capabilities

The US new hire base salary range for this temporary, part-time role is $45-$75/hour.
