Waste Initiatives, a leader in the waste solutions industry, is seeking a motivated Service Manager to join our team and spearhead our service, maintenance, and breakdown operations across Australia and New Zealand.About Us:Waste Initiatives is a renowned provider of innovative waste management solutions, committed to driving environmental sustainability and efficiency. With a diverse range of clients and a comprehensive equipment portfolio, we are dedicated to minimizing waste and maximizing resource recovery.Role Overview:As the Service Manager at Waste Initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of over 1,600 pieces of client equipment. You will lead a team of 4 skilled service technicians and 2 dedicated office staff members, driving excellence in service delivery and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all service, maintenance, and breakdown activities for waste management equipment across Australia and New Zealand
- Collaborate with the service technicians to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring timely response to client needs
- Lead and mentor the service team, fostering skill development and a strong commitment to quality workmanship
- Oversee the dispatch and allocation of service techs, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing downtime
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their equipment operates at peak efficiency
- Collaborate with the office staff to manage administrative tasks, including work orders, documentation, and communication with clients
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance service processes, improve efficiency, and streamline operations
- Monitor and report on service performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Proven experience in managing service and maintenance operations, preferably in the waste management or related industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of technicians and office staff
- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail to ensure efficient scheduling and execution of service tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and senior management
- Technical aptitude and an understanding of waste management equipment is advantageous
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required within Australia and New Zealand
