  • Control system programming along with troubleshooting experience including PLC
  • Produce technically acceptable standard of work and design deliverables
  • Technical document development (requirement specifications, scopes of work, functional specifications, test documents)
  • Ensure documentation of appropriate standard is provided to update all relevant Engineering, Operational and Maintenance databases on project completion
  • Ability to manage project workloads and when appropriate, engage external service providers to supplement the design requirements
  • Ensuring the safety of designs through application of specialist expertise, standards, reviews, risk assessments and risk management
  • Establishing and maintaining strong and effective working relationships with other members of the specialist and regional teams both in project delivery and asset management
  • Delivering value engineering design packages fit for application purpose
  • Equipment failure and root cause analysis
  • Ensure project HAZOPs, HAZIDs, Safety management studies and Operability studies are conducted in accordance with Regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Certificate or Diploma in Higher Engineering trade
  • Current or previous Electrical Working License
  • Trained or certified for Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA)
  • Field Service experience for multidiscipline engineering projects within the Oil and Gas industry would be highly regarded
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Detailed knowledge of Australian & International codes and standards, good engineering practice and the applicable statutory requirements with respect to Electrical systems in hazardous environments and Instrumentation systems
  • A strong focus on quality and performance
  • Experience in design, construction and commissioning of HV, LV and Control equipment and systems
  • Excellent general computer literacy skills as well as specialist knowledge of discipline-based applications software
  • Skilled in PLC Programming of mainstream PLC systems such as Allen Bradley, ComAP, HV Protection Systems
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with other members of the specialist and regional teams both in project delivery, asset management and Terminal operations
  • Ability to travel for project installation and commissioning throughout Australia and New Zealand
  • Capability and flexibility to handle multiple projects in restricted timeframes to support line of business and project goals
  • Excellent attitude towards safety
