Position Summary:

Working closely with the infrastructure and security teams to implement, monitor, and maintain security measures that protect the Company's systems, networks, and data from potential threats and cyber-attacks, and ensuring the security and integrity of the IT infrastructure.

Essential Job Functions “What You’ll Do”:

• Assists in implementing security measures, configurations, and best practices across the organization's IT infrastructure.
• Collaborates with senior security engineers to deploy security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, and data encryption.
• Monitors security systems and infrastructure for security incidents and vulnerabilities
• Assists in analyzing security logs and alerts to identify potential threats and suspicious activities
• Supports vulnerability scanning and assessment activities on infrastructure components
• Helps in identifying and prioritizing security vulnerabilities and assists in remediation efforts
• Assists in ensuring compliance with relevant security policies, standards, and regulations
• Helps in preparing reports and documentation related to security controls and compliance
• Provides support during security incidents by following established incident response procedures
• Helps in containing and mitigating security incidents to minimize impact and recovery time
• Participates in security awareness programs and training sessions to educate employees about security best practices
• Stays updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies that enhances skills and knowledge
• Contributes to the ongoing research and learning initiatives within the security team

Essential Qualifications “What You’ll Need”:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred
• Cybersecurity or infrastructure security or related coursework.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and common infrastructure components
• Understanding of fundamental security principles and best practices
• Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in infrastructure security
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address security issues
• Ability to work toward goals, meet deadlines, and contribute positively to the team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in both a verbal and written manner
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products
