This position will oversee solution design across the Product Integration Team and be responsible for leading solution engineering team members as they execute client projects.
Reporting to the Vice President of Product, Integration & Partnerships, you have deep expertise in healthcare systems and direct hands-on experience with NextGen’s Mirth Connect. In this strategic role, you will design, lead, and oversee the implementation of scalable, secure, and interoperable integrations across our product suite. • Act as a liaison to the Product Org. Reporting through the Product team, you often will have a first-hand experience that is core to improving features, products, and future services. Distilling and reporting on these will be key for categorizing trends and opportunities.
  • Drive system interoperability initiatives, including HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, CDA, X12, and other healthcare data standards.
  • Stay current with emerging health tech trends, interoperability standards, and regulatory changes.
Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of direct, hands-on experience with Mirth Connect (NextGen), including building, deploying, and maintaining production channels.
  • Strong understanding of HL7 v2, FHIR, X12, CCD/CDA, and other health data formats.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH, ONC).
  • Proven experience with system design and application integration in complex, distributed environments.
  • Strong programming/scripting skills (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar).
  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, especially with integration use cases.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and engage with executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data workflow/orchestration tools
  • Background in data security, patient privacy, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Experience using Jira/Confluence for development and wiki documentation
  • Experience working with development teams to provide feedback and ideas based on structured product requirements and use-case

Compensation & Benefits:
