The Role

We are seeking a Content and Social Media Specialist to bring our cybersecurity expertise and thought leadership to life across our various organic social media channels. The Content and Social Media Specialist will be responsible for spearheading our social media strategy (e.g., managing social media channels, planning social media efforts to support key integrated campaigns, and analyzing KPI data) and will also provide some copywriting support for our email marketing & Drift ChatBot programs. If you are up to date on the latest social media marketing trends, have excellent communication and project management skills, and have a passion for emerging technology, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities

Social Media Support – 50%

  • Oversee social media accounts' branding (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube etc.)
    • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness and conversion
    • Maintain a unified brand and thought leadership voice across different social media channels
    • Create and implement organic social media strategies that align with business goals
  • Re-purpose existing content (e.g., webinars, videos, blogs, and other long form content) into bite-sized pieces for our social platforms
  • Collaborate with our Paid Media Specialist on paid social ads
  • Own the monthly social media calendar
    • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging social content daily
    • Work with in-house creative team in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content.
    • Perform research on latest cybersecurity trends to propose new content ideas for content planning and calendar-building.
  • Support our PR / Field Marketing teams to make sure their requested social posts go live in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the Integrated Campaigns team to create end-to-end social campaigns for high value campaigns we are rolling out and big events that we are sponsoring
  • Provide copywriting support for special campaigns to build brand awareness and increase engagement.
  • Collaborate internally to amplify cybersecurity thought leadership and rich media content on social media
  • Maintain healthy engagement rates by actively responding to comments on social media and proactively engaging with our audience
  • Review and create reports on key channel metrics
  • Work with functional marketing areas to create monthly customer newsletter

Email Marketing Support – 30%

  • Work with our internal Web and Demand Gen teams to create copy for our email nurture cadences (e.g., Thought Leadership, Product-specific emails, etc.).
    • Includes updating existing emails with new copy, content assets, etc. and/or write new emails altogether
  • Make sure all emails are up to date with the latest messaging, positioning, etc.
  • Support on monthly reporting on nurture performance

Drift ChatBot Support – 20%

  • Work with our Marketing Ops team to find opportunities for optimizing our Drift chatbot strategy and drive web leads
  • Optimize copy on existing Drift playbooks and find opportunities to create new playbooks for high value assets

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience in technology or security related fields welcomed
  • 3+ years of experience planning, creating, implementing and measuring high-quality social media campaigns
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills
  • Some knowledge of marketing tools such as Sprout Social, Drift, Basecamp, Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce, etc. is ideal but not required
