A key product area for The Group is our fantasy sports vertical, and it needs a Product Owner to drive it! We are looking for a Product Owner to work directly with stakeholders, product designers, and engineering teams to help build a forward-looking product roadmap and facilitate bringing its features to life. This vertical has a very busy roadmap with multiple workstreams and complex product features. It will take an entrepreneurial spirit with high initiative and an organized mindset to capture all the product requirements, build and manage the backlog, and facilitate hand-off to the engineering teams to get it built.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders to capture all product requirements, both functional and non-functional. Stakeholders include line of business (user acquisition, product functionality), finance, security / compliance, technical / engineering.
- Be responsible for making the best use of development resources through planning, prioritizing, and managing the product/technical roadmap.
- Understand the product & commercial needs and how they translate into functional and technical requirements
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on business needs
- Write user stories with acceptance criteria. Refining and prioritizing backlogs.
- Producing release plans and communications, while running post-sprint reviews and tracking benefits realization
- Capture reported bugs, create required tickets and ensure delivery in timely manner
- Manage communication with key stakeholders on roadmap planning across business and tech teams
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of product management experience in high-growth tech environments
- Proven success building consumer-facing products and internal tools, both web and mobile
- Strong track record successfully managing multi-workstream product backlogs in Jira
- Experience leading both 0-1 product development and scaling existing products
- Skilled at cross-functional collaboration with designers, engineers, and business teams
- Experience replacing third-party platforms and managing internal rollouts
- Background in sports or fantasy sports a plus
