As a Senior Communications Specialist at Gambling.com Group, you will play a pivotal role in Consumer Communications, working under the Vice President of Corporate Communications. This position involves liaising with reporters and external media, following state gambling legislation, coordinating industry appearances, maintaining award submissions on behalf of our company and elevating our brands through strategic media initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Stay abreast of state gambling legislation, especially new state launches.
- Develop, implement and execute a publicity campaign surrounding new state launches becoming legalized as well as big industry events mainly on the sporting calendar.
- Liaise with Gambling.com Group reporters and external media to garner coverage for their expert analysis.
- Coordinate appearances for talent within industry conferences and key events.
- Pitch business-centric stories to highlight Gambling.com and its 50+ websites.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with client operators to create consumer-facing publicity opportunities.
- Drive consistent messaging across corporate, product, and brand communications.
- Manage industry award submissions for the company.
- Promote company news, thought leadership, and public affairs to elevate the corporate brand.
- Contribute to the approach and rollout of Gambling.com’s “American Gambling Awards”.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
- Proven experience in consumer-focused communications.
- Knowledge of state gambling legislation and industry trends.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Previous experience with industry awards submissions.
