Risk & Compliance Associate | GoHenry
GoHenry is a UK-based fintech company created by parents to pioneer financial education. More recently, GoHenry moved into Europe and the US by joining forces with French fintech company PixPay and US investing app, Acorns.
Together, Acorns, PixPay, and GoHenry have over 6 million members across 5 countries. We are focused on empowering families with engaging money management tools, educational content, and a seamless product experience that creates financial well-being from birth to adulthood.
We are looking for a Risk & Compliance Associate to join our team. You will play a vital role in protecting our customers and the business by identifying potential risks, monitoring compliance with UK financial regulations, and helping to maintain the trust that millions of families place in us.
What you will do at GoHenry:
Compliance Monitoring: Lead regular compliance monitoring and testing activities to ensure our internal processes and customer journeys align with FCA requirements and our own high standards.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Assist in identifying, assessing, and documenting operational and conduct risks across the business, recommending practical improvements to safeguard the company.
Policy & Procedure Management: Help maintain and update internal compliance policies to reflect the evolving regulatory landscape in the UK fintech space.
Support Regulatory Reporting: Help prepare clear, data-driven reports for senior management and regulatory bodies (such as the FCA) regarding our compliance health and risk profile.
Financial Promotions Review: Review and approve marketing financial promotions for regulated products, ensuring all communications across social media, email, and web are "fair, clear, and not misleading."
Advisory & Collaboration: Work with the Marketing and Product teams during the creative process to provide guidance on risk warnings and compliance requirements for regulated services.
Team Priorities: Work with your manager and the wider team to establish priorities, including the oversight of new features, infrastructure, and tool building to enhance our risk framework.
What you will bring to GoHenry:
Compliance Foundations: Proven experience working within a risk or compliance function, ideally within a UK financial services or fintech environment.
Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of the FCA Handbook (including Consumer Duty) and a keen interest in staying ahead of industry trends.
Analytical Precision: Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot patterns, anomalies, and potential risks within complex data sets or marketing copy.
Communication Skills: The ability to explain complex regulatory requirements to non-specialist teams in a professional and approachable way.
Proactive Ownership: A self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Relevant Qualifications: A degree in Law, Finance, or a related field, or professional certifications (such as ICA) is highly desirable.
