About Mappedin
Mappedin is the leading indoor mapping platform transforming the way venues are experienced, managed, and understood. Built for scale and trusted by the world's biggest brands, our AI-powered tools make indoor mapping fast, flexible, and easy to integrate—powering indoor experiences at top destinations worldwide.
With billions of square feet mapped across 57 countries, Mappedin helps make public spaces easier to explore, simpler to manage, and safer for every visitor.
The Role
Every product experience Mappedin delivers starts with a digital understanding of a physical space. This role is responsible for making that foundation stronger.
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the evolution of Mappedin's core platform capabilities—including mapping, positioning, spatial data, and the foundational services that power experiences across our platform.
This is not a maintenance role.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex systems problems, identifying patterns across customers and use cases, and turning those insights into scalable product capabilities that can be used again and again.
You'll work closely with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and customers to improve the reliability, flexibility, and usability of the platform that powers everything Mappedin builds.
This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, technical systems, customer reality, and long-term platform thinking.
What You'll Do
Core Platform Strategy & Roadmap (30%)
Own the vision, roadmap, and prioritization for key platform capabilities
Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to define long-term direction and short-term priorities
Balance customer needs, technical investments, scalability, and business impact
Define success metrics and evaluate outcomes over time
Platform Reliability & Productization (30%)
Identify opportunities to improve consistency, performance, usability, and reliability across platform capabilities
Partner closely with Engineering to evolve foundational systems that support multiple products and customer environments
Help transform recurring customer needs into reusable capabilities rather than one-off solutions
Drive product decisions that strengthen the platform over time
Customer & Field Insight (20%)
Engage directly with customers, implementation teams, and internal stakeholders to understand real-world usage
Identify patterns across industries, venues, and customer environments
Translate feedback and observations into product direction
Stay close to how products are actually being used rather than relying solely on internal assumptions
Cross-Functional Leadership (20%)
Coordinate across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Go-To-Market teams
Communicate priorities, trade-offs, and technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
Facilitate alignment across stakeholders with different perspectives and objectives
Help teams make informed decisions about where to invest and why
What We're Looking For
5+ years of Product Management experience in software or technology companies
Experience working on platform products, technical systems, infrastructure, developer tools, APIs, data products, or similarly complex systems
Strong product judgment and demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively
Comfort operating in environments where complexity and ambiguity are common
Experience partnering closely with engineers on technically sophisticated products
Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes
Demonstrated ability to identify patterns across customer requests and build scalable solutions
Track record of making decisions based on evidence, customer reality, and measurable outcomes
Nice to Have
Experience with mapping, GIS, spatial technologies, positioning systems, location intelligence, or related domains
Experience building products used by developers, partners, or technical customers
Experience with APIs, SDKs, data platforms, or integration-heavy products
Experience applying AI technologies within software products or workflows
This Role Is Probably Not for You If
You prefer focusing primarily on user interface features rather than underlying systems
You struggle to balance short-term customer requests with long-term platform investments
You rely on certainty before making decisions
You prefer highly structured environments where priorities rarely change
You need extensive direction before taking ownership
You find technical complexity more frustrating than interesting
The Team
You'll join a product organization working closely with Engineering, Design, Customer Success, and Go-To-Market teams to solve challenging problems for customers around the world.
The culture is collaborative, low ego, and highly accountable. We value people who are curious, practical, thoughtful, and willing to challenge assumptions in pursuit of better outcomes.
Behind the Scenes
We move quickly and adapt as customer needs evolve.
That means the exact challenges you're working on six months from now may not be the same as the ones you're tackling today. What won't change is the opportunity to solve meaningful technical problems, influence foundational product decisions, and help shape the future of a growing platform.
We believe in being transparent about how we hire. We use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help record interviews and create notes for us to review later. Every application and interview is still reviewed by our People Operations team, and all hiring decisions are made by people—not AI.
We welcome applications from people with disabilities. We provide reasonable accommodations for candidates upon request throughout the recruitment process.
What's In It For You
Competitive compensation: $160,000 - $200,000
20 days of paid vacation starting on day one
Comprehensive health benefits
Meaningful ownership and influence over foundational platform capabilities
Opportunity to solve complex technical problems with real-world impact
A team of bar raisers with low ego and high ownership
