We are searching for a talented and motivated Lead Mobile Engineer with a knack for driving frontend initiatives and cultures, overseeing and contributing to frontend architectures for our cutting-edge Fintech products, incubating potential new business ideas and experimenting with the latest tech stacks. Our dream candidate is someone who lives and breathes innovation, with a proven track record of building scalable and reliable fronted systems, and experience leading and mentoring teams of engineers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers, to deliver high-quality mobile experiences that meet the needs of our rapidly growing user base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive frontend initiatives and lead the development of mobile applications from evolving existing products to incubating new business ideas with proper justification on architecture goals and trade-offs
• Design, review, implement, and maintain highly evolutionary frontend architectures that support guided, incremental, and non-breaking change along multiple dimensions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration of frontend systems with other products within the MoneyLion ecosystem
• Collaborate with product owners, product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize product features and technical requirements
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on the team
• Continuously evaluate and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of the frontend systems
• Be the key player in cultivating a dynamic engineering culture and instilling the architecture mindset within our team
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in backend development and contribute to the technical growth of the team

About You:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in mobile application development for iOS and Android platforms, with a preference for experience gained in an R&D setting
• Strong expertise in programming languages such as Javascript, Typescript, Swift, or Java
• Extensive experience with mobile development frameworks and tools such as Xcode, Android Studio, React Native, or Flutter
• Deep understanding of mobile application architecture patterns, UI/UX best practices, and performance optimization techniques
• Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration of mobile applications with backend services
• Expertise with Functional Programming will be a plus
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and debug complex issues in mobile applications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) would be a plus
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proven track record of successfully leading and mentoring mobile engineering teams
• A passion for mobile app development and a commitment to delivering high-quality, user-friendly applications
• Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and the ability to take full responsibility of the mobile application
