MoneyLion is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Vice President (SVP) of Technology to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As the SVP of Technology, you will be responsible for overseeing a talented engineering organization of approximately 150 individuals and play a crucial role in the operational leadership of our regional office. Reporting directly to the Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) based in New York City, you will lead the Platform and Product Engineering Groups and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver on our mission and goals. This role will also involve global leadership in driving strategies and implementing processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and articulate the vision, strategy, and tactics to the engineering department, enabling effective decision-making and alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee and scale the engineering organization, ensuring efficient collaboration and communication within and across teams.
  • Drive the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions, leveraging cutting-edge tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance MoneyLion's digital financial platform.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products and features that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, driving engineering excellence and ensuring the adoption of industry-leading engineering practices.
  • Work closely with the Global CTO and executive leadership team to shape the technology roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and manage resources effectively.
  • Promote a customer-centric mindset within the engineering organization, championing user experience and ensuring that technology solutions meet the highest standards of usability, performance, and security.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, proactively identifying opportunities to leverage new tools and techniques to drive business innovation and efficiency.

About You

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate the company's vision, strategy, and goals to diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience leading engineering groups of over 100 people and scaling organizations to support business growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities, with a track record of driving successful technology strategies and initiatives.
  • Expertise in software engineering and technology architecture, with a deep understanding of modern development methodologies and tools.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align technology initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • Experience working in an international and cross-functional environment, with the flexibility to accommodate meetings and collaboration outside of standard business hours.
  • Passion for innovation and a strong desire to make a positive impact on people's financial lives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
