About the Role

We are on the lookout for a skilled Senior Developer to join our dynamic team. The candidate will possess extensive experience in Java programming, a history of engineering and building integration with software solutions, and the capacity to guide and train fellow team members.

This role is located on-site 4 days a week at our headquarters in Chelsea, NYC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient APIs that connect our backend systems to Customer Data Platforms, CRM, marketing channels, such AWS Connect, Kustomer, Iterable to support personalized customer experience.
  • Work closely with our CustOps team to leverage the customer data platform for enhanced data-driven decision making.
  • Implement secure data access and transfer protocols to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data while establishing data connection for Customer Operations related automations.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define requirements, set timelines, and deliver high-quality technical solutions.

About You

  • Proven experience as a developer with a minimum of 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience in backend development with a strong understanding of API design and management.
  • Experience with Java or TypeScript.
  • Experience in any relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL.
  • Experience in ETL processes and distributed data management. Proficient in database technologies and adept at developing APIs that integrate multiple datasets and data schemas.
  • Experience in integrating with external APIs and building custom third party integrations.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their managed services.
  • Knowledge of best practices in data security and privacy.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple initiatives concurrently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Technology stack we use

  • Java, Spring Boot, Nodejs, ES6, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS.

The annual base salary for the Backend Engineer is expected to be between $120,000 - $140,000. Base salary is one component of MoneyLion's total compensation package, which includes, 401(k) match, multiple health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off for salaried positions. Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies related to the role.
