As a Cybersecurity Analyst, Intern, you'll have the opportunity to explore the role and functions of the following teams:
- Cybersecurity Incident Response Team (CSIRT)
- Application Security & Security Engineering
During your internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience in areas like threat detection, security event analysis, and preventive security operations. You’ll also get the chance to work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to real projects that protect our digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring network traffic, system logs, and security alerts to detect suspicious activity
- Help review and analyze security events using our SIEM platform and other security tools
- Support in maintaining and tuning threat detection rules and security controls (e.g., firewall, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Participate in research on current threat trends and recommend preventive measures
- Contribute to documentation and reporting of security incidents and investigations
- Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to improve internal security posture
- Explore automation opportunities using scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) for recurring cybersecurity tasks
- Assist in threat hunting and participate in cybersecurity exercises and team projects
- Identify gaps in development workflow practices and ensure security best practices are implemented to cover the gaps
- Build tooling and services to aid the implementation of security initiatives
About You
- Passion for cybersecurity and eagerness to learn about real-world security operations
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, common threat vectors, and networking concepts (e.g., HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP)
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, or endpoint protection (coursework or personal projects is a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates a proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and strong collaboration skills.
