Growth Intern (Retention & Community) — Neo
About Neo
Neo is a secure, AI-native browser with always-on agents — rethinking how people interact with the web. We combine AI reasoning, automation, and privacy (powered by Norton) into a single experience that doesn’t just assist, but acts.
We’re early, fast-moving, and building toward something much bigger than a browser.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Growth Intern who is deeply curious about why users stay, come back, and become power users.
This role sits at the intersection of:
Retention (core focus)
Product feedback loops
Community & user relationships
You will work directly with the GTM and product team to turn users into engaged, retained, and vocal advocates.
What You’ll Do
1. Own Early Retention Signals
Track and analyze key behaviors (activation → repeat usage → habit formation)
Identify drop-offs in the user journey (e.g. after first session, day 1, day 7)
Surface insights on what separates retained vs. churned users
2. Build Product Feedback Loops
Talk to users (Discord, Reddit, interviews) and extract real insights
Turn qualitative feedback into clear product recommendations
Work closely with product to prioritize high-impact retention improvements
3. Drive Community Engagement
Help manage and grow Neo communities (Reddit, Discord, Twitter/X)
Engage users, respond to feedback, and identify emerging trends
Turn power users into early advocates / ambassadors
4. Launch Retention Experiments
Run scrappy experiments:
onboarding improvements
feature nudges
lifecycle messaging
Measure impact and iterate quickly
5. Identify the “Magic Moment”
Help define Neo’s core habit-forming use case
Analyze user behavior to find the moment where users say:
→ “I can’t go back to my old browser”
What We’re Looking For
Strong curiosity about user behavior, psychology, and products
Obsessed with why products succeed or fail
Comfortable working with data + qualitative insights
Strong communication skills (you’ll talk to real users)
Self-starter — able to operate in ambiguity and move fast
Bonus:
Experience managing online communities (Discord, Reddit, etc.)
Familiarity with growth frameworks (activation, retention, loops)
Interest in AI products / browsers / future of computing
What You’ll Gain
Work directly with senior GTM leadership on a 0→1 product
Learn how real growth systems are built (not theory)
Exposure to product, data, and community-led growth
Opportunity to shape a product used by millions of users
Success in This Role Looks Like
Clear insights on why users retain vs. churn
Improved activation → retention metrics
A more engaged, vocal, and growing community
Identified and validated Neo’s core growth loop
