About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, results-driven Partner Account Executive to join our Partner Sales organization. In this role, you will drive meaningful revenue growth by engaging and developing strategic partnerships, executing against joint business plans, and leveraging our broad portfolio of products and services.

You are a proactive, consultative seller who thrives on building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and translating partner needs into mutually profitable solutions. You will work closely with partners and internal stakeholders to shape and execute go-to-market strategies that deliver sustained, measurable growth.

This role focuses on developing, managing, and growing long-term strategic partnerships. You will directly engage with partners, connect with executive decision-makers, position the right technology portfolio, and present compelling value propositions. You will negotiate commercial terms, oversee reporting and invoicing, manage partner satisfaction, and be accountable for account growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Finance, Legal, and Marketing – both within Gen and across our partner organizations.

What You Will Do

  • Own and grow a portfolio of key partner accounts, while identifying, qualifying, and developing new partner opportunities.
  • Develop and execute joint business and account plans that drive partner revenue growth and align to Gen’s strategic priorities.
  • Build and deepen relationships with executives, influencers, and decision-makers across partner organizations.
  • Manage and document a robust pipeline of partner opportunities, providing accurate forecasts, performance insights, and regular reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Product, Finance, Legal) to structure, launch, and support partnerships that align with company goals and compliance requirements.
  • Articulate the value and performance of partnerships to leadership and internal stakeholders through clear communication, data-driven insights, and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain partner engagement plans and communication cadences, ensuring consistent touchpoints, alignment on goals, and timely issue resolution.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze partner and program performance, and recommend actions to optimize revenue, profitability, and partner satisfaction.
  • Track industry trends, competitive activity, and market shifts to identify new partnership opportunities and areas for innovation.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in partner/channel sales, strategic account management, business development, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow strategic, revenue-generating relationships with partners or large accounts.
  • A strong understanding of market dynamics, partner business models, and how to identify and prioritize high-value opportunities.
  • Proven negotiation skills, with a track record of structuring and closing win-win commercial agreements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and gain buy-in at multiple levels.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and productivity tools such as Microsoft 365
  • Ability and willingness to travel, as needed, to meet with partners and attend key events.
