Sales Development Representative

SUMMARY: Are you ready to become an integral part of the PurpleLab™ team, working in synergy with our marketing and sales departments to fuel our growth? We are seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who will play a pivotal role in acquiring new prospects and cultivating our sales pipeline. Below, you'll find an outline of the key responsibilities essential for success in this role:
- Conduct daily outbound calls, emails, and messages to engage with potential prospects in our strategic target markets.
- Craft and execute strategic outbound campaigns and personalized outreach strategies to connect with ideal customers within our preferred markets.
- Assess prospects to determine their fit and solution-need alignment, and then pass on qualified leads to our Account Executives to initiate the sales process.
- Maintain up-to-date records of prospect information within our CRM system, ensuring seamless handoff to the relevant Account Executive.
- Proactively research and identify potential leads and prospects within our target market using various channels, including online research and cold outreach.
- Initiate conversations with potential customers through outbound calls, emails, and social media engagements to generate interest in our products and services.
- Qualify leads by understanding their needs, challenges, and pain points to gauge compatibility with our solutions.
- Collaborate closely with our Account Executives to ensure a smooth transfer of qualified leads for further engagement.
- Keep meticulous records of all interactions and lead statuses within the CRM system.
- Actively participate in regular sales meetings, offering insights into lead quality, conversion rates, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Continuously expand your knowledge of our products, industry trends, and competitive landscape to effectively convey value propositions to prospects.
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation and conversion.
- Possess 2-4 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the life sciences or healthcare market. Candidates with SaaS or data sales experience are strongly preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is required, while an advanced degree or MBA is preferred.
- Proficiency in using CRM and Marketing Automation Platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, 6Sense, etc.
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit, leadership skills, and the ability to adopt a hands-on approach.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or related roles is a bonus.
- Comfortable with making outbound calls and initiating conversations with new prospects.
- Possess the ability to comprehend customer needs and effectively communicate how our solutions can address those needs.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exhibit resilience and adaptability in handling rejection and addressing objections in a professional manner.
