Summary: Working under the direction of a leader, the intern will collaborate with experienced professionals to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, completing assigned tasks to develop skills relevant to the assigned role. Duties may vary given the assigned department; this is a general job description. Additional or other duties outside of this description may be assigned during the internship based on company needs. A job description addendum may be included with this general description should duties vary significantly outside of this general description.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Enrollment in an accredited institution (e.g., junior college, college, university) pursuing a related degree is required.
Required Background/Experience: some work experience is preferred, but not required. A basic understanding of SaaS is preferred, but not required.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Collaborate with others to assist departmental and cross-functional teams in executing and timely delivering assigned projects, contributing to successful outcomes. Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to their leader.
2. Acquire knowledge specific to the industry by attending meetings with team members and taking notes during discussions to maximize learning.
3. Conduct research through data collection and analysis to support organizational productivity and intern skill development; help identify trends and drive insights to optimize processes and stay competitive.
4. Maintain databases, such as CRM or other departmental databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records for better business intelligence, decision-making, increased operational efficiency, and overall business success.
5. Assist with the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
6. Coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments, organize conferences or other arrangements, to ensure the organization’s smooth operation.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Addendum: Marketing Intern – Job-Specific Duties:
In addition to the essential function listed above, RapidDeploy marketing interns will be responsible for completing the following departmental-specific duties during their internship.
1. Assist in planning local and regional third-party events across small, medium, and large-scale tradeshows.
2. Research upcoming brand marketing initiatives such as events, executive speaking opportunities, customer and prospect engagements, etc.
3. Contribute content for a variety of programs and channels, including email, social, and blog.
4. Coordinate marketing and event communications with sales and other internal stakeholders.
5. Support HubSpot (Marketing Automation Platform) database management and the lead lifecycle.
6. Update website content using Webflow program.
7. Track inventory of company merchandise, along with organizing and executing merchandise shipments, lifting up to fifty (50) pounds is required.
8. Travel locally to conduct company business (i.e., event management logistics and coordination of last-minute shipments).
