What You’ll Do:

As Technical Project Manager at Slingshot Aerospace, you will be one of the core drivers of software planning, implementation, delivery, and management. Our products and services require both an eye for current organizational priorities as well as an aspirational and anticipating look towards our long term strategy. As a member of the team, your role will ensure organization, clarity, focus, and efficacy in our Agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes all position responsibilities in alignment with Slingshot’s core values, mission, and purpose
  • Communicate objectives, priorities, progress, accomplishments, changes, and impediments, clearly and consistently to remove blockers and avoid confusion across team members, stakeholders and management
  • Partner, negotiate, and collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders and decision makers to continuously stay aligned with the current business/program objectives and priorities
  • Help define and document the timeline of milestones, and identify/address dependencies pertaining to the deliverables
  • Support product backlog grooming and ensure organization at all times
  • Schedule and facilitate team meetings including the standard scrum rituals
  • Provide metrics and reports on project progress regularly
  • Enable scoping, planning, and estimation efforts
  • Support staffing utilization management to advance productivity and work-life balance of the team members
  • Identify, analyze, mitigate and proactively respond to project, financial and operational risks
  • Help foster a work culture that recognizes and supports individual differences in work-styles, personalities, cultures and values to maximize team’s potential
  • Optimize the existing tools/processes or propose new ones to ensure effective execution of projects by distributed teams

Pre-Requisites

  • Must be eligible to obtain or maintain US Government Security Clearance

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related technical field
  • 3 + Years of project management and/or product owner experience with software product development
  • 2+ years Scrum Master or equivalent experience in a high-agility environment
  • Experience and proficiency in managing projects under multiple SDLC methodologies, including agile/scrum and waterfall
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills to protect and support your team’s productivity and focus
  • Proficiency and experience using Jira including advanced roadmaps and other development collaboration software tools
  • Superb analytical skills; adept at identifying and applying data to make smart decisions and influence outcomes
  • Experience delivering to market a software product from start to finish
  • Prior experience working with cross-functional teams including UI/UX Designers, Product Managers and Business Stakeholders associated with a technical project
  • Broad understanding of modern engineering methodologies, cloud software technologies and infrastructure techniques

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the space/aerospace industry
  • Prior experience crafting modern distributed cloud-based SaaS/PaaS software, 12 Factor Application experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of 3D UI, gaming, PaaS, machine learning or other scientific software
  • Early/Mid-stage startup experience

Location: Remote, United States

Salary Range: $125,000-$160,000
