About the Role

Each year, SBT observes tremendous growth within its customer base as consumer finance businesses realize extreme value from shifting consumer interactions to text messaging as a channel. Texting is more economical than sending paper mail or facilitating live agent phone conversations. It’s more engaging than email or web chat. And it’s easier to adopt and maintain than bespoke mobile app experiences.

Consumer finance businesses and their customers want more interaction and payment opportunities through texting and SBT aims to accelerate the adoption of text messaging through strategies and programs informed by our vast data assets.

In this role, you will own the methods in which data enters the SBT platform; and how it is organized and administered by business users; and how it informs strategic actions to drive customer benefit. You will manage programs across data collection, customer adoption, and success measurement.

Position Objectives

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and organize the many sources of relevant and critical data; centralize access to this data through a system that integrates and connects to SBT’s core business tools including Salesforce, Netsuite, and Hubspot.
  • Implement a data visualization tool at SBT that enables business users to write queries, build reports, and manipulate data sets without the need to leverage spreadsheets.
  • Oversee the teams that manage customer data submission, management, and processing to ensure modern and secure handling of customer assets that support the success of businesses that leverage SBT’s platform.
  • Manage a backlog of internal and external requests associated with reports, customer configurations, and alerts.
  • Organize cross-functional teams to drive customer adoption of programs (payments, SBT’s new platforms, etc) that drive measurable value for both SBT and its customers.
  • Design and monitor both KPIs and reports that capture insights as to the performance of each strategic program, such as customer adoption, customer revenue growth, customer utilization vs forecast, time to go live, and other performance-based metrics.
  • Own the development and dissemination of regular executive reports and scorecards that track the progress and success of SBT’s strategic initiatives.

Competencies and Experience

  • 10+ years of data, program management, and/or operational experience within payments and/or mobile messaging, which has included focus on data analytics and reporting.
  • Experience with customer data platforms (CDPs) and visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Experience overseeing teams and tools facilitating extract, transform, and load (ETL) of customer data sets collected from disparate sources into a centralized data platform.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Customer Success, Product and Engineering to identify, evaluate, and size opportunities in order to effectively prioritize work.
  • Track record of driving continuous improvement projects, where you’ve uncovered and executed both short and long term optimizations.
