About the Role

Yieldstreet is looking for an experienced Director of Fund Selection that can help grow Yieldstreet’s fund strategy. Our fund strategy is centered around offering third-party manager’s assets on the platform which is the highest growth potential asset class within Yieldstreet. This person will be responsible for manager diligence and the selection and underwriting of LP interests (including secondaries) and co-investments. The investments will be across multiple asset classes like Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Credit, Infrastructure, & Real Estate, as well as across different types of funds, e.g. Interval, Tender, & Privately Placed.

This person will be responsible for managing the portfolio of existing investments as well as growing the portfolio into new investments. Additionally, there are a number of strategic elements and partnerships that will need to be maintained and evolved. The role will report to the Head of Funds & Strategic Products.

What you'll do:

  • Develop an investment thesis across asset classes, type of funds, and capital stack for investment. Use the thesis to invest in LP interest (including secondaries) and co-investments with third-party managers.
  • Build relationships with top tier third party fund managers.
  • Analyze and underwrite LP investments in Third Party Funds.
  • Partner with the Yieldstreet credit teams when specific asset class expertise is needed.
  • Present to the investment committee of Yieldstreet.
  • Ideate on the distribution structures and strategy for each of these funds.
  • Conduct webinars, and build the branding and messaging to support the launch and marketing of selected funds.

What you’ll need:

  • At least 10 years of investment experience, with at least 5 years experience selecting and underwriting LP interests and/or co-investments with third party fund managers
  • Ability to articulate financial concepts and information in both verbal and written forms
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Deal execution oriented with a readiness to roll up your sleeves and manage a process end to end
  • Ability to work seamlessly in a cross-functional team environment spanning multiple disciplines and geographies

Compensation:

  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $225k + (Actual salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Compensation package also includes generous, bonus, benefits and equity.
