About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President, Human Resources to lead all aspects of our HR function, including operations, talent acquisition, organizational development, compensation, and employee experience. This role is critical to transforming our business while ensuring we maintain a high-performance, values-driven culture.
As a key member of the leadership team, the Vice President, Human Resources will partner closely with executives, managers, and employees to align people strategy with business priorities and support the company’s next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and refine a cohesive HR infrastructure tailored to employees at all levels
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on organizational design, culture, and talent needs
- Manage the payroll and benefits function, ensuring accurate and timely processing
- Develop, implement, and enforce policies that are compliant, practical, and aligned with the culture and environment we want to create for our employees and to support the business
- Partner with internal teams at Yieldstreet, such as Finance and IT, and external vendors to optimize our processes
- Oversee our performance, promotion, and compensation review processes
- Collaborate with the recruiting team on the hand-off from candidate to end-to-end onboarding experience, creating seamless, scalable, and highly effective processes that ensure new employees feel welcomed and integrated into the business and their teams
- Engage with employees on employee relations matters, cultural initiatives, and day-to-day process development and improvement to provide a work environment conducive to success
- Research, benchmark, and manage our comprehensive compensation, benefits, and other offerings
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive HR/People leadership experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role
- Experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments (fintech, financial services, or tech preferred)
- Demonstrate strong understanding of multi-state and national employment law, compliance, and hiring/termination practices
- Has comprehensive knowledge of policies and systems related to benefits administration (including insurance, 401(k), compliance, audits, etc.)
- Strong expertise across talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, and compensation
- Proven ability to design and implement effective people programs in a fast-paced environment with a flexible metrics/process-driven approach
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- The confidence to collaborate with and challenge leadership and executives for the right reasons
- Ability to balance strategic thinking and direction-setting paired with the willingness to get into execution as needed
- Familiarity with HRIS tools/systems - bonus points for Rippling

This is a New York-based role. The base salary range for this position is USD 180,000 to 200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus and equity compensation as part of the total compensation package.
