The Lead DW/BI Quality Assurance Engineer will be required to collaborate in an Agile context with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Business Partners, and Managers in our Zelis Advanced Data Analytics team to develop, maintain and implement test plans to minimize defects and to assure solutions adhere to business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze business requirements to produce comprehensive, and well-structured test strategy and test cases.

• Design/Execute test plans, test scenarios, test cases/scripts for data.

• Design, Develop and Execute automated scripts using our test automation framework.

• Perform manual and automated testing, which may include exploratory, system, regression, compatibility, system, and integration testing.

• Document test procedures, analysis, and results

• Work directly with the Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Data Engineering teams to ensure all work is thoroughly tested.

• Collaborate with Project Test Leaders to define test data needs for the testing effort.

• Participate in relevant Agile Ceremonies: Daily Stand-Ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives

• Perform QA processes and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements:

8+ years of testing experience with 4 years experience in Data Integration, ETL and Data Warehouse testing.

Test automation frameworks and utilization of appropriate test methodologies and tools for testing KPIs, reports, dashboards, and data warehouses.

Performance, load, functional, regression, and system level testing.

Analyze Source Systems, Staging area, Fact and Dimension tables in Target D/W.

Technology experience required:

• Cloud technology (Snowflake, Azure and/or AWS).

• Advanced SQL queries to validate ETL and Business Intelligence processes.

• Data flow and develop test strategy for ETL, ELT Data warehouse and Business Intelligence testing.

• Data Analysis to track a data element from source through transformation to target.

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s/Master preferred.

• Healthcare experience.

• Technical & testing experience preferred:

  • Snowflake or similar Cloud MPP Columnar DB

  • AWS, Azure

  • DBT or similar ELT/ETL platform.

  • JIRA, TFS, GIT, Azure DevOps (CI/CD)

  • BI

• Experience working with offshore teams.
