Position Overview

The Product Owner, Content and Edits will serve as a subject matter expert, voice of the content team and liaison between the Content and Edits team, development, and operations. This resource will work closely with the Product Team, Development, Clinical Development, Operations, Account Management, Sales, Development and Implementations in the development and maintenance of the current product as it relates to the handling of corrected claims. This resource will also assist with operational readiness, communications, and creation of business processes as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritizing and maintaining the Product Backlog

  • Plan quarterly Work based on Prioritized Backlog

  • Translate requirements into User Stories; oversee process of technical requirements for Edits

  • Work with Claims Editing scrum team for prioritizing edits requiring development (e.g. static edits)

  • Ensure execution and delivery on planned work for Content and Edits team

  • Manage the Content releases for regulatory updates

  • Manage releases for Content and Edits delivery

  • Monthly release overviews for teams

  • Identify ways to automate and streamline process

  • Document and clarify requirements as needed for execution of User Stories for Development, QA, UAT (e.g. Flow charts, claim scenarios, examples, etc.)

  • Act as subject matter expert and assist the team as needed in driving delivery (e.g. Business Analysts, UAT)

  • Maintain a subject matter expert Level of expertise in the Life of a Claim

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Product Owner or Business Analyst

Preferred Qualifications

  • HealthCare software experience

  • Strong understanding of the Life of a Medical Claim

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum framework, including: Creating Workflows/diagrams, User Stories, Enable Stories, Release Notes and User Guides

  • Jira, and Confluence experience

  • CPC (Certified Professional Coder) Certification

  • Knowledge of project management techniques, including managing issues, risk mitigation, planning
