Essential Duties & Functions:

• Understanding the business needs and the factors driving the impact and priority
• Translating these business needs into User Stories that the Agile team can understand and work from
• Applying the concepts of Minimum Viable Product (MVP), to shape "what to work on next" and help prioritize tasks, including prioritizing the backlog
• Preparation and Participation in PI Planning
• As a member of the extended Product Management team, the Product Manager is heavily involved in program backlog refinement and prep for Program Increment (PI) planning and plays a significant role in the planning event itself.
• Produce team demos in partnership with Agile team
• Taking initiative and making decisions to remove barriers, involve the right SMEs when needed and keep the work moving.
• Be the conduit of information between the Agile Team and Product Management, Customers, Business Owners, and other stakeholders
• For some projects, manage and drive medium to complex-sized projects outside of the Agile structure, unsupervised
• Project manage non-Agile projects, including managing issues, risk mitigation, planning, developing collateral to support product strategy, etc.
• Travel: up to 25% as needed

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education & work within the healthcare industry
• Experience and working knowledge of Health Insurance, Medicare guidelines and various healthcare programs, particularly from the healthcare member lens
• Preferred – extensive knowledge of healthcare network management and operations, revenue cycle management, transparency, population health and value-based care
• Understanding of the competitive marketplace, and trends driving the industry within the claim cost and payment integrity solutions
• Demonstrated track record of success in managing key process improvement initiatives.
• Industry experience implementing medium to complex programs.
• Experience managing internal and external relationships and closely collaborating with subject matter experts from across the enterprise
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Scaled Agile framework and application of principles in managing multiple projects
• Exposure to apply Lean thinking to decompose Epics into Features and Stories, refine Features and Stories, manage Program and Team backlogs, and to plan and execute Sprints and Program Increments.
• Exposure to the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture contribute to the relentless improvement of the ART.
• 5+ years’ business analysis experience supporting technical projects, such as software development and delivery, preferably with some of this time spent in an Agile environment.
• Experience in successfully delivering small/medium sizes programs with minimal direction.
• Strong presentation skills as well as good written/oral skills
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workloads.
• Ability to transfer knowledge to staff with different backgrounds, educational experiences and learning styles
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of MS Office products, Visio or similar
• Working knowledge of Agile platforms such as Jira, Team Foundation Server (Microsoft TFS), etc.

Education:

• Desirable – product management certification
• Bachelor’s Degree
