Senior Front End Developer
Position Overview:
Zelis is modernizing the healthcare financial experience by providing a connected platform that bridges the gaps and aligns interests across payers, providers, and healthcare consumers.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Developer to join our growing engineering team. You will be responsible for creating intuitive, high-performance interfaces for a range of cutting-edge applications, including AI chat systems, document processing tools, and real-time data visualization components. If you are passionate about building scalable, enterprise-level solutions and have expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks and cloud technologies, we would love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities:
Front-End Development:
Design and develop scalable, responsive, and dynamic user interfaces using modern web technologies.
Work on AI chat systems, document chat interfaces, and interactive data visualization tools.
Implement real-time chat systems with streaming responses and live data interaction.
Build and maintain document viewing and annotation components.
Create visualization components for AI agent workflows and document processing results.
Ensure cross-device and cross-browser compatibility, providing a seamless user experience.
Develop intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centric interfaces that align with UI/UX best practices.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Collaborate closely with back-end developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership in front-end architecture and best practices.
Lead efforts in code reviews, ensuring quality and consistency in development.
Architecting Enterprise-Level Solutions:
Design and implement front-end architectures for scalable enterprise-level applications.
Build modular, reusable components that enhance application maintainability and performance.
Leverage cloud services (primarily Azure) to create robust solutions integrated with front-end applications.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, with experience in Next.js, Node.js, and Vanilla JavaScript.
Expertise in CSS and experience with modern UI frameworks like Material UI.
In-depth experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Strong understanding of state management techniques, including React Context, Redux, and others.
Experience with real-time data streaming and WebSocket implementations.
Expertise in creating data-driven, interactive visualization components (charts, graphs, etc.).
Familiarity with PDF and document rendering in web applications.
Cloud & Enterprise Architecture:
Experience architecting front-end solutions for enterprise-level applications.
Azure cloud experience preferred (deployment, integrations, serverless, etc.).
Strong understanding of handling authentication and authorization.
UX/UI & Accessibility:
Strong knowledge of UI/UX best practices, including building accessible web interfaces.
Ability to design and implement responsive designs and adapt to changing business needs.
Experience with accessibility standards and ensuring applications are accessible to a wide range of users.

Professional Experience:
7+ years of experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on building scalable, maintainable, and performant web applications.
Proven track record in developing real-time applications, including systems with live data streaming and dynamic user interactions.
Extensive background in creating interactive web applications, working with complex UI components and data visualizations that enhance user experience and engagement.
Additional Requirements:
Solid understanding of UI/UX best practices, with a strong focus on designing for accessibility and ensuring intuitive user interfaces across all platforms.
Familiarity with responsive design principles, ensuring applications are optimized across a wide variety of devices and screen sizes.
