Position Overview

As the Manager of Enterprise Infrastructure Operations at Zelis, you will lead strategic infrastructure operations at the intersection of healthcare and finance IT. Your primary focus will be on developing operational excellence for on-premises data center infrastructure, server environment, and backup/recovery while standardizing operations across environments. This role is critical to supporting mission-sensitive operations while ensuring compliance with stringent regulatory standards. You will also contribute to organizational strategic cloud migration efforts, helping transition legacy systems to modern, scalable cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor offshore infrastructure operations teams, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement while aligning efforts with company-wide operational goals.
  • Lead and execute the implementation of capacity and lifecycle management of on-premises infrastructure across compute, virtualization, storage, and fabrics across colocation facilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure services are standardized, scalable, and seamlessly integrated.
  • Develop and mentor individual contributors across operational domains.
  • Own and optimize Infrastructure ITSM processes including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Ensure SLA adherence and continuous improvement of service delivery metrics (KPIs).
  • Drive automation and self-service capabilities across operational workflows.
  • Oversee execution security patching, configuration management, and incident response protocols to safeguard servers and data.
  • Implement and enhance automation for provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining data center infrastructure.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations and operational processes.
  • Oversee operational execution of backup and restore processes across hybrid environments.
  • Ensure data protection infrastructure is resilient and recovery-ready.
  • Validate backup integrity and coordinate recovery testing and readiness exercises.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and performance using telemetry, alerts, and dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC) through operational controls.
  • Participate in audits and provide evidence of operational readiness and resilience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure operations, including at least 5 years in leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Proven expertise in managing large-scale enterprise IT environments, encompassing data centers, networks, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management (ITSM), ITIL frameworks, system architecture, and modern infrastructure technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; ability to engage effectively with Senir leadership, other vertical teams, and business partners
  • Proven experience in managing enterprise data center infrastructure, with a strong focus on on-premises environments.
  • Deep technical expertise in virtualization, compute, storage, fabrics, and networking.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
  • Strong strategic planning and project management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Commitment to staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Availability for on-call escalation support as needed.
  • Bonus: Experience with cloud migration strategies, hybrid infrastructure models, and cloud-native technologies.
