Position Overview
Software Configuration Engineers will play a significant role in software implementations by identifying the dependencies and delivering on executables needed to tailor the CareSelect platform to meet client needs through existing and newly developed product configurations. Software Configuration Engineers work closely with Engineering, Implementation and Product teams to help deliver world-class software.Essential Duties & Functions:
· Utilizing HTML, JavaScript, YAML and Careselect Configuration Tools the Software Configuration Engineer implements requirements for the CareSelect platform to meet client needs.
· Collect, analyze and interpret business requirements and use cases in order to translate them into configurable settings.
· Work directly with customers to identify needs and resolve software configuration options.
· Reproduce, resolve and document configuration defects during SDLC and post production.
· Support multiple teams including Engineering, Implementation, Quality Assurance, and Product Management in support and execution for configuration deliverables.
· Actively participating in planning and coordination of delivering configurations during software releases.
· Knowledge of software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.
· Experience with JIRA or Project Management software to track, manage and resolve assigned tasks/tickets within sprint cycles.
· Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and communicate effectively.
Experience and Qualification Requirements
· Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university.
· 2 - 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel ,HTML,CSS,JavaScript and JSON, CMS such as Drupal or WordPress, pgAdmin interface/SQL queries for data retrieval and updates.
· Strong analytical, problem solving skills and ability to make decisions that best fits the needs of the customer.
· People skills – the ability to establish effective working relationships across multiple groups (Engineering, Implementation, Quality Assurance, Product and external Customers).
· Communication skills – strong oral and written communications.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks/meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
