Head of Brand & Product Marketing Make Payra impossible to ignore.

Payra is building the Revenue Automation Platform for businesses that run America.

We help companies automate how they get paid and keep their books up to date, from customer onboarding and invoicing to payments, cash application, collections, and reconciliation.

We've built a lot. We're growing quickly. Now we want the market to understand exactly what Payra does and hear about us everywhere.

We're looking for a Head of Brand & Product Marketing to own how Payra looks, sounds, launches products, and shows up in the market.

Your mandate is simple:

Make Payra easy to understand, impossible to ignore, and one of the most recognized brands in our market.

You'll work directly with our founders, product team, sales organization, and designers to turn what we're building into compelling stories, launches, creative, sales materials, and market awareness.

This is not primarily a demand generation role.

This is a brand, product storytelling, creative, communications, and awareness role.

What You'll OwnProduct Storytelling & Launches

We don't want to quietly ship great products.

We want to make noise.

Work directly with our product and engineering teams to understand what we're building and translate new products, features, and capabilities into stories customers care about.

Own the go-to-market story behind every meaningful release.

Turn product updates into:

  • Clear positioning and messaging
  • Product launch campaigns
  • Website and landing page updates
  • Product videos and demos
  • Screenshots, graphics, and animations
  • Sales one-pagers and collateral
  • Customer communications
  • Social campaigns
  • Founder and company content
  • Sales talking points and enablement
  • PR and media opportunities

A great feature shouldn't disappear into a changelog.

Your job is to make the market understand why it matters.

Positioning & Messaging

Make Payra incredibly easy to understand.

Own the narrative around Payra, our Revenue Automation Platform, and the individual products within it.

Take complicated technology and turn it into simple, compelling messaging that resonates with CFOs, controllers, finance teams, and the industries we serve.

Someone should be able to visit our website, see a Payra post, watch a product video, or look at one slide and quickly understand:

What Payra does.

Why it matters.

Why it's different.

That story should be consistent everywhere.

PR, Media & Market Awareness

Make Payra impossible to miss.

Build a constant drumbeat of Payra showing up across the places our customers, partners, recruits, and industry leaders pay attention to.

Own and aggressively pursue opportunities across:

  • Industry and national media
  • Trade publications
  • Podcasts
  • Founder and executive interviews
  • Contributed articles and thought leadership
  • Press releases and company announcements
  • Product and feature launches
  • Customer wins and case studies
  • Partnership and integration announcements
  • Awards and company rankings
  • Conference speaking opportunities
  • Industry newsletters
  • LinkedIn and executive social
  • Analyst and industry relationships

Don't wait for people to discover Payra.

Create reasons for people to talk about us, develop the stories behind them, and get those stories into the market.

A major product release shouldn't just become a LinkedIn post. It should become a launch campaign, sales asset, customer communication, founder story, media pitch, video, website update, and multiple pieces of content.

A major customer shouldn't just become another logo.

It should become a story.

Our goal is to make Payra one of the most visible and recognized companies in our category and the industries we serve.

Brand & Creative Direction

Own how Payra looks and feels.

Set the creative standard across the company and make sure Payra presents itself like a category-leading technology company.

You'll direct our designers and creative partners across:

  • Website and digital experiences
  • Product marketing
  • Sales decks
  • Product one-pagers
  • Customer stories
  • Advertising and campaigns
  • Social media
  • Conferences and events
  • Video and photography
  • Company announcements
  • Recruiting
  • Partnerships
  • Executive content

You don't need to personally design everything.

But you need exceptional taste and the ability to look at something and know immediately whether it's good enough.

Sales Enablement

Give our sales team the best materials in the market.

Own the story and creative direction behind sales presentations, product one-pagers, customer case studies, demos, competitive materials, industry-specific collateral, and customer presentations.

Our salespeople shouldn't have to independently figure out how to explain what we've built.

You make the story obvious.

When we launch something new, sales should immediately know what it is, why customers should care, how to talk about it, and have everything they need to take it to market.

Customer Stories & Company Momentum

Turn momentum into more momentum.

When Payra wins a major customer, launches a product, signs a partnership, releases an integration, enters a new market, or hits an important milestone, figure out how to tell that story.

Build a system for turning company progress into awareness and credibility.

Every great customer should help us win the next one.

Every product launch should increase understanding of the broader Payra platform.

Every major company milestone should reinforce the momentum behind Payra.

Website & Digital Presence

Own how Payra presents itself online.

When someone visits Payra, they should immediately understand what we do, see the breadth of the platform, understand why we're different, and see evidence that serious companies trust us.

Continuously improve our messaging, product presentation, customer proof, visuals, demos, and overall digital experience.

Conferences & Industry Presence

Make Payra look like one of the most important companies at every event we attend.

Own the creative direction around conferences and industry events, including booth concepts, messaging, signage, collateral, product demos, customer events, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, content capture, and pre-event and post-event storytelling.

Don't just make sure we're there.

Make sure people remember us.

Who We're Looking For

We care much more about what you've built than what your previous title was.

You probably have several of these qualities:

  • Exceptional instincts around positioning and product storytelling
  • The ability to take complicated software and explain it simply
  • Exceptional creative taste and extremely high standards
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience launching and marketing software products
  • Experience directing designers and creative partners
  • An understanding of PR, media, communications, and how companies earn attention
  • Experience turning product releases and company milestones into market-facing campaigns
  • An understanding of how great B2B technology companies build recognizable brands
  • The ability to create sales collateral that actually helps salespeople sell
  • An instinct for turning company momentum into stories people care about
  • An understanding of social media, events, content, PR, and distribution
  • Comfort working directly with founders and senior leadership
  • The ability to move extremely quickly without an established playbook
  • A willingness to be hands-on and make things happen

You don't just develop the strategy.

You make sure it ships.

Experience in fintech, payments, SaaS, B2B software, or another high-growth technology company is a plus, but not required.

What This Role Is Not

This isn't a traditional corporate marketing position.

You won't inherit a large marketing organization, a massive agency budget, or a finished playbook.

It's also not primarily a performance marketing role focused on Google Ads, attribution models, SEO rankings, or MQL volume.

We're looking for someone who wants to build the Payra brand and tell the Payra story.

Someone who sees a great feature and immediately thinks about how to launch it.

Someone who takes a complicated product and finds the one sentence that makes it click.

Someone who sees an average sales deck and wants to make it exceptional.

Someone who sees a major company win and immediately asks:

How do we make sure everyone hears about this?

Why Payra

This is an opportunity to define the brand and product story of a rapidly growing technology company at an important point in its journey.

The product is being built.

The customers are coming.

The team is growing.

Now we want the world to know about it.

You'll work directly with the founders and have significant influence over Payra's positioning, messaging, product launches, creative direction, communications, and market presence.

There's no finished playbook to inherit. You get to build it.
